Low-Profile Cranial Shell
SD-CRN-001
A 6-panel Chino cotton cap with a pre-shaped visor and a glow-in-the-dark vital-energy sigil. Prescribed for bright sun, loud rooms, and days you would rather not be examined.
[SKELETON NAVIGATION]
The nervous
system, charted.
The nervous system never rests. Every weight, every texture, every contact point routes through this infrastructure — signals that most garments ignore entirely. We read the diagram before we prescribe the dose.
[MATERIA MEDICA]— specimen in context

Carpal Tension Wristlet
[ SOFTWEAR ] — Carpal Collection
The wrist is not decorative real estate. It contains a dense cluster of mechanoreceptors — Meissner's corpuscles, Pacinian corpuscles, Ruffini endings — proprioceptive nerve tissue that continuously relays pressure and positional data to the somatosensory cortex. The two 2mm elastic paracords apply a low, consistent compressive load across the carpal region, activating these receptors, dampening the amygdala's threat-monitoring signal, and attenuating sympathetic nervous system arousal. The signal is quiet. The effect is not. The toggle is the intervention point. Tighten it: increased proprioceptive feedback, greater somatosensory grounding, cortisol blunted at the source. Loosen it: passive wear, low stimulus, background presence. The user calibrates their own afferent input in real time — a manual override for the body's alarm system, operated with two fingers and a plastic toggle. The embossed rubber sigil holds a photoluminescent charge. Vital energy, externalised. It is not motivational. It is a low-lumen signal to the cognoscenti and a quiet torch for the daily transit home. This will not fix the nervous system. Nothing external does. It will, however, give it something more productive to process than the unsolicited discourse of a Tuesday.
[SOFTWEAR]
Active tools—not accessories—for sensory grounding in the Great Grey.
We reject disposable ecommerce theater. Material weight, honest seams, and haptic feedback over trend cycles. Better than leeches; still not a cure for the Algorithm's whim.

[FREQUENTLY ASKED]
Common questions.
- What is SOME DOSE?
- SOME DOSE is an independent Irish fashion label making Softwear — sensory grounding wearables designed as active tools for the nervous system. Not accessories. Not lifestyle objects. Garments engineered to reduce friction between your body and a chronically overstimulating world.
- What is Softwear?
- Softwear is SOME DOSE's term for intentional wearables engineered for sensory grounding. Tactile, adjustable, no cold metal, no itchy fabric. Every piece passes a sensory audit before it ships. Think of it as armor — not jewellery.
- Who is Softwear for?
- Prescribed for the chronically overstimulated. People who find most accessories scratchy, heavy, or distracting. Those for whom digital fatigue, sensory overload, and the noise of modernity are not metaphors. You do not need a diagnosis — just a preference for objects that work with you, not against you.
- How much does Softwear cost?
- Specimens are priced per item, currently from €38–€125. No subscription, no loyalty programme, no algorithm deciding your dose. Price includes VAT.
- How does ordering work?
- The ritual has four steps: Intake (a short sensory triage to calibrate your dose), Patient Record (saved preferences and past orders), Dispensary (browse Softwear sorted by body region — Cranial, Carpal, Cervical, and more), Prescription (checkout). The Intake is optional; you can go directly to the Dispensary.
- What materials are used?
- Primary substrate is Merino wool — non-scratchy, non-itchy, passes sensory audit. The SOME DOSE wordmark is embossed rubber with a photoluminescent compound. Full material disclosure is printed on every product page. No synthetic fabrics that generate static. No cold metal hardware.
- What is the returns policy?
- 30-day returns on unworn specimens in original condition. The gear must not have been activated in the field. Contact via the site to initiate. Tracked shipping is included on all orders.
