[ FIT · CALIBRATION REFERENCE ]
Findyour calibration.
- What is this?
- Measurement tables for every sized specimen in the SOME DOSE catalogue. Chest, waist, length, and sleeve — in centimetres and inches.
- Who is it for?
- Anyone about to select XS through XL and wanting to verify fit before the specimen ships.
- What does it cost?
- Reading. The reference is complete and free of charge.
- How does it work?
- Take four measurements. Find your specimen below. Match measurements to the table. Select accordingly.
[ HOW TO MEASURE ]
Four measurements. No guesswork.
- [ 01 · CHEST ]
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest, parallel to the floor. Keep the tape snug but not compressed. Note the measurement in centimetres.
- [ 02 · WAIST ]
Locate the narrowest point of the torso — typically 2–3 cm above the navel. Measure horizontally around the natural waist. Do not pull in.
- [ 03 · LENGTH ]
Lay the garment flat and measure from the highest point of the shoulder seam straight down to the hem. Do not follow the curve of the collar.
- [ 04 · SLEEVE ]
With the arm straight and relaxed, measure from the shoulder point (the break where shoulder meets arm) to the end of the cuff.
[ THORACIC ]
Thoracic specimens.
Thoracic Specimen
SPECIMEN PENDING
Measurements listed are garment measurements, not body measurements. For chest and waist, match your body measurement to the size where the garment measurement exceeds it by 4–6 cm (standard ease for structured thoracic specimens).

Pelvic Specimen
SPECIMEN PENDING
Waist and hip measurements are garment measurements. Add 2–3 cm to your body waist measurement and match to the table; for hip, add 4 cm. Length is measured from the natural waistband seam to the hem with the garment laid flat.

[ CLINICAL NOTES ]
Common calibration queries.
- What do I do if I am between sizes?
- Size up. SOME DOSE specimens are cut with considered negative ease — the smaller size will feel restrictive where the larger will calibrate correctly. The exception is tailored cranial specimens, where the smaller size is preferred when measurements sit between entries.
- Do SOME DOSE garments shrink after washing?
- Cold hand-wash or delicate machine cycle at 30°C prevents shrinkage. Natural fibers — wool, cashmere — will shrink one size if tumble-dried on heat. Cotton jersey may reduce by 3–5% after the first wash. All measurements in this table are pre-wash; account for this if you are between sizes in a natural fiber specimen.
- What size does the model wear?
- The model reference is listed beneath each specimen table where available. If no note appears, the primary editorial image shows size M.
- How do I take my measurements accurately?
- Use a soft tape measure and stand relaxed, not breathed-in. Chest: measure around the fullest point, tape parallel to the floor. Waist: at the natural waist (narrowest point), not the hip. Length: from the highest point of the shoulder seam to the hem, with the garment laid flat. Sleeve: from the shoulder point to the cuff edge, arm straight.
- What is the exchange policy if the fit is wrong?
- SOME DOSE offers a 30-day size exchange on unworn, unactivated specimens in original condition. Contact via the /contact page with your order reference and target size. Made-to-order specimens are excluded from the exchange window.
